BIG engagement in OG land this month. I want to thank y’all for that. Super stoked to see so many take things offline too. That’s where the magic really starts to happen.
No speech today. Just lettin’ everyone know that David (OG founder – you don’t knooooow??) and the rest of the OG team are here to support you. I believe I speak for everyone in the community when I say we’re here to help and be helped. Whatchu need?
I’ve gained so much from this community. New friendships, resources, team members and sometimes all three at the same time. Put yourself out there if you haven’t already. I can’t think of a community I’ve ever been a part of that was so full of intelligent, hard working folks. #allthosefeels
Haven’t logged into the Online Geniuses Slack group lately? You’re missing out! Log-In and say ‘Hi’. I miss you! Also if you’re not already, like us on our newly created Facebook page
OG Member Meetups
Looking to connect with the like-minded in your neighbourhood? OG members are hosting events in NYC, Austin, Atlanta, Seattle and Philly and dozens of other places.
For all other cities, let the homie @scott know if you need help putting together an event. We are seeing more and more interest in both hosting and attending, and we want to help. In fact, we’ve seen 5 new city channels created this month alone. Get a group together, and go grab some food and drinks one night!
If I missed anyone, I am sorry. The volume of requests, and then wading through said requests is madness!! Y’all accomplish a lot in 1 month!
If you folks want to appear above, share your accomplishments with us every Friday. Note the format above. The easier you make it for me to figure out why you are awesome, the more likely it is that you’ll find yourself here.
Each month I try to bring you my favorite articles, books and casts. I am a total information glutton. More inputs than I could possibly action in my lifetime. I don’t recommend this, but it sure makes recommending good reading/listening easy!
I am committed to devouring 2-4 books each month, and reporting back on which made an impact. I will also list books that are absolute essentials. Here’s a few recent and/or past favorites:
